CAPITAL DISTRICT HUMANIST SOCIETY BOOK SEMINAR

Fall, 2008 SCHEDULE

Frank Robinson, Coordinator
(518) 482-2639

Meetings are held from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m., on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month beginning September 11, 2008 and ending in early June 2009 for the summer, with occasional exceptions. They will be held in room 101 of the Campus Center, Sage College, Albany, unless otherwise noted at the site.

The book chosen for Sept is, Life, Liberty, and Happiness: An Optimist Manifesto, by some guy named Frank S. Robinson. It is a comprehensive analysis of how use of reason & human freedom are the keys to living a good life and making a better world as well as a good dry martini. The first meeting for Sept will be Thursday the 11th & we will cover pages 9-41. I can supply copies of the book for $20, contact frank@fsrcoin.com, or 518-482-2639. There is more information about the book at http://www.fsrcoin.com/x.html

Directions to room 101: Enter the Campus Center parking lot from Academy Road (one block south of New Scotland Ave., and actually the second entrance to the Sage Campus when coming from New Scotland).  Enter either door when proceeding from parking lot, and go to the right.  Room 101 is down the hall through one or two doors, and on the left.   If per chance you have parked at the administration building, walk over to the Campus Center, and from that entrance, turn left and proceed down the corridor as above.
